Neglia Ballet Artists, Buffalo’s own world-class ballet conservatory and company, is excited to announce they will be moving to the Tri-Main Center by Fall 2016. The new custom-designed facility is the latest development in Neglia Ballet’s mission to enrich the region’s cultural environment by building appreciation and support for the art of ballet in western New York. A capital campaign to fund the move launched January 28 with a celebration and exclusive tour of the future home of Neglia Ballet in the Tri-Main Center. New York State Assemblyman Sean Ryan made opening remarks at the event.
Established in 1994 by Sergio Neglia and Heidi Halt, Neglia Ballet’s highly regarded training programs, performances and community outreach efforts have outgrown its home of 21 years at the Pierce Arrow Building. “It is a move that is long overdue,” says Halt, Neglia Ballet’s executive director. “We are worthy of space that is up to par with the performances we produce and the incredibly talented students we train.” The new custom designed space will include three full-sized studios, comfortable dressing rooms, and a fitness and wellness room."
