On May 18th Neglia Ballet is excited to perform its 20th Anniversary SPRING GALA!

Neglia Ballet’s Spring Gala is an elegant evening showcasing pieces from talented ballet and contemporary dancers with a twist of dialogue and puppetry (curious...you should be!) – truly an evening to sit back, relax and enjoy world-class performances by local and internationally acclaimed artists.

Featured Performances:

This gala marks the professional debut in Buffalo of Adelaide Clauss, Neglia Conservatory alumna and rising artist at Washington Ballet. Adelaide trained at Neglia for eight years before going to ABT and Washington Ballet.

Having Adelaide return is a very special moment for Artistic Director Sergio Neglia: “I knew I wanted her to come back. A true artist, Adelaide can move an audience, not all dancers have that ability.”

Adelaide says she feels grateful for the opportunity to perform in Buffalo again. “It will be such a gratifying full-circle moment to get to perform as a professional on the same stage where I had my first recitals as a student. I can’t wait!”

Please enjoy some highlights of past spring performance at Nichols Flickinger PAC. All photos are courtesy of local Buffalo photographer, Gene Witkowski.

So newbies, here’s what you need to know:

  1. There are several separate pieces of various dance styles to enjoy. (Not one long story to follow)
  2. The dancers are athletic, beautiful and strong.
  3. The choreography (specific steps in harmony to the music) can be interpreted in many ways, so it's a unique experience to each person...you can't be wrong.
  4. You will not be bored – silly you for thinking that way!
  5. You will be engaged by talented live artists (not actors recorded on a screen)
  6. Champagne and dessert afterwards...yes, it's included in the ticket price so once you arrive, just enjoy yourself!
  7. You’ll depart feeling a connection to this art form and knowing that you’ve helped an important organization continue their mission.
  8. Oh, parking is easy and FREE!
