10th Anniversary of The Nutcracker - Highlights & Photos

On December 22 and 23, 2018 Neglia Ballet Artists (in collaboration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Shea’s Performing Arts Center) had the pleasure and honor of performing the Nutcracker Ballet for the 10th consecutive year.

Some highlights from this year…

  • A new date closer to Christmas – encouraged a greater audience with people being home for the holidays.
  • Full house! It was incredible to see a full house both days. Nearly 6,000 people got to experience the magic!
  • The return of performers from the original production in 2009 including several Neglia Ballet Alumni.
  • A technical electric glitch just before curtain up caused some unexpected nerves, but thanks to our dedicated crew, the show went on, the tree was lit and magic was delivered!

There are so many people to thank who make this production possible (too many to list) and we are grateful for their time and talents. We would like to thank our 2018 Scene/Cast Sponsors who helped make this 10th Anniversary extra special:

  • Stephen Evans (Mother Ginger Sponsor)
  • Lynn Ortiz (Angel Sponsor)
  • The Hausmann Family (Party Kids Sponsor)
  • Lindamood Family / Foodie with Family (Fritz Sponsor)
  • Vincent O’Neill (Grandparents Stahlbaum Sponsor)
  • Buffalo Seminary (Snowflakes Sponsor)
  • Arts Catalyst (Herr Drosselmeyer)
  • Sherri Campagni (The Nutcracker Sponsor – and our first Sugar Plum Fairy!)

And special Thank You to Delaware North for their generosity in sponsoring our season.

We hope you’ll keep the magic of the Nutcracker in your hearts all year. Stay tuned for the 11th Nutcracker in 2019.
