Meet Your Teachers: Viktor Plotnikov, Week 1
Every summer Neglia Ballet prides itself on engaging dynamic guest artists and teachers to train and inspire our students. Summer 2020 is no exception! We have a great line-up of teachers who will be in residence at our TriMain studios from June 29 – July 31, 2020.

VIKTOR PLOTNIKOV
Born in Kharkov City, Ukraine, Viktor received his training at the Kiev-Ukraine School and the St. Petersburg Vaganova Ballet Academy. He was a soloist with Donetsk Ballet Company in the Ukraine and principal dancer at Ballet Mississippi and Tulsa Ballet before joining Boston Ballet as a principal dancer in 1993, where he performed until 2006. Viktor has danced major roles in extensive classical and contemporary ballets by many of the major choreographers, and has toured extensively in Russia and the US. Since 1998 he has created commissioned works for companies including Boston Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Festival Ballet Providence, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Richmond Ballet, New Jersey Ballet and the Bolshoi Theatre. He has received numerous “Best Choreography” awards at international ballet competitions including the Helsinki International Ballet Competition, the World Ballet Competition, Orlando, the Youth American Grand Prix Competitions. Viktor is currently the resident choreographer at Festival Ballet of Providence.
Neglia Ballet has enjoyed collaborating with Viktor on many new works for Neglia’s Spring Galas and for student competitions.
