About Neglia’s “The Nutcracker”
Neglia’s Nutcracker production has been recognized for its spectacular production value. “From the opening curtain’s rise to the dancer’s final bows, the much-talked-about production showcased a mix of tradition and wonder that few productions of the ballet achieve” (-The Buffalo News). The production has 136 roles, of which 85 are performed by children. There are over 400 costume pieces and over 100 props.
A family holiday tradition
Neglia Ballet’s magical production of The Nutcracker at Shea’s with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra is set for December 2 & 3, 2023. REVIEWS & RECOGNITION
Jessalyn (Age 9), Ballet 3 student – 2018
When I was four years old, I went to see the Nutcracker at Shea’s. During the Angels part I said to my mom, “I want to dance on that stage when I’m bigger.” Five years later I’m going to be dancing in the Nutcracker on that very stage. You helped me pursue my dreams! I thought I would have to be twenty-five, or even thirty years old until I could dance on that stage. You don’t even know how great and amazing this is to my family and I and we are very thankful.
Edward Bujanowski, Parent of Performer – 2018
What an amazing performance. Thank you, Neglia, for the opportunity to be part of the Nutcracker Family this year. It’s an experience she’ll always remember.
Rachel Thalman, Professional Dancer – 2018
Heidi and Sergio, the staff, and students and have built such a lovely welcoming community at Neglia Ballet. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with everyone at Neglia Ballet. I was very proud to be a part of their production of The Nutcracker.
Tracy Morgan, Parent of Performer – 2018
