2021 Neglia Ballet Artists – All Rights Reserved
Website Design by OtherWisz Creative
Weekly class offered to men and women of varying levels and ages. For anyone who has an interest in learning the fundamentals and health benefits of this beautiful art form or those who are more experienced and looking to return to ballet. Classes are enjoyable in a way that will put both inexperienced and experienced individuals at ease while they develop their skills in a group setting.
Classes are designed to accommodate all levels, from beginners through experienced dancers and students. Our small class sizes allow the instructor to meet you where you are in your journey to provide you with a challenging yet rewarding class experience.
Neglia offers Intermediate Classes year ’round and Beginner Workshop 6-8 week Sessions each season.
If you are brand new to ballet, we recommend starting with Beginner Workshop in the Fall, as the class becomes more challenging as the year progresses.
Students should watch and practice this “Ballet Basics Video” to get familiar with terms and positions before their first class.
What should I wear to class?
We recommend fitted exercise or dance attire. Some students wear leotards and tights while others choose tank tops and yoga pants. Avoid baggy clothing so the instructors can see the lines of your body and provide appropriate corrections. Ballet slippers (canvas or leather) are required for ballet. Canvas slippers are available for sale at the studio.
Is there nearby parking available?
Yes. There are 3 visitor parking lots, as well as street parking.
Do I need to commit to a certain number of classes or whole year?
No. While you will see and feel the best results from regular weekly attendance, adult class attendance is flexible and class rosters are managed via Sign-Up Genius.
How does Sign-Up Genius work to reserve my classes?
Each season session (Fall, Winter, Spring Summer) uses the online scheduling portal Sign-Up Genius to show the calendar of available classes and number of available spots in class. Students reserve their classes online. A waiting list is available if a class is full. Students who reserve a spot are expected to attend that class.
How do I pay for class?
We prefer exact cash or checks payable to “Neglia Ballet” (PayPal and credit card payments accepted in advance and incur a transaction fee). We recommend purchasing a class card (various denominations) for the best savings and motivation to attend regularly.
