Zoom Summer

Due to the pandemic, the summer of 2020 taught us to be creative and persevere. Neglia Ballet successfully held a completely virtual 5-week Summer Intensive on Zoom and we’re gearing up to do it again in 2021.

We’ve had talented instructors from across the US and even a special guest teacher Julio Bocca – live from Uruguay. We taught students from across the Northeast, Florida, Alabama, Canada, and Argentina.

Check out this virtual performance from July 2020 which showcases SYNCHRONICITY. Students in-person at our studio in Buffalo, instructors in Michigan, and students in Canada and Argentina all working TOGETHER in real-time on one beautiful contemporary piece. Brava!

The consistency of quality instruction from a variety of some of the most gifted and esteemed teachers in the world has more than compensated for the lack of “in-person” instruction. She receives personalized corrections daily that have helped to build her confidence and her technical foundation. She is, of course, a better ballet student for having participated in Neglia’s summer intensive, but, more importantly, she is a better artist and a better dancer. Perhaps most importantly, she is happy and eager to continue her ballet studies. (-JW, Florida)
